This gallery consists of a family of 126 related systems, members of which differ only in parameter values. With the parameter values used, the IMap, EMapMax and EMap views give abstract art patterns.

Each system is defined by the three-function (cos, % and abs), four-parameter, iteration:

        x <- y-b*cos(x%d),

        y <- a-abs(x%c).

For this system the parameters are:

a = -4.3000; b = .0100; c = 4.3000; d = 2.0000;

In the case of the IMap images, different seeds and different IMap0011 and IMap1011 views, generate the different images. Images have been re-centered and resized as needed.

In the EMapMax and EMap cases seeds are not used by the display algorithm. The colors in the EMap images are the result of using different color tables. The EMap images have been re-centered and resized as needed.
